WHAT DO THESE CLASS NAMES MEAN?

For new visitors who aren't sure what each class is. Existing members can skip this.

adults

  • GETTING STARTED WITH QB — Beginner-only boxing class. Stance, footwork, the four core punches, basic movement. ~60 min. Every new member starts here.
  • HERS GAYS & THEYS — Beginner class built for women, trans, non-binary, and gender-diverse beginners. East Vancouver only. ~60 min.
  • TECHNIQUE — All-levels boxing technique class. Detailed instruction on punches, footwork, defense, combinations. ~60 min. The most common class on the schedule.
  • STRENGTH & CONDITIONING — Boxing-specific S&C. ~45 min.
  • PARTNER PADWORK — Coached pad work with a partner. Non-contact other than the pads. ~60 min.
  • TECHNICAL SPARRING — Optional, opt-in supervised light sparring. Full equipment. Progression required. ~60 min.
  • CONDITIONAL SPARRING — Scenario-based sparring for members who've progressed past Technical Sparring. ~60 min.
  • COMPETITIVE SPARRING & TEAM PRACTICE — Fight prep for athletes on the competitive track. ~60-90 min.

kids aged 5 to 11

  • LITTLE ROOSTERS — Foundational kids boxing class. Fully non-contact. Game-based, age-appropriate. ~60 min.
  • ROOSTERS (Port Coquitlam only) — Same curriculum, scaled for ages 9-11.
  • ROOSTERS ADVANCED — Partner drills and body contact. Only for those experienced. ~60 min.

teens aged 12 to 17

  • JUNIORS — Teen boxing class. Real technique, partner work, optional sparring. ~60-90 min.
  • JUNIOR TECH SPARRING — Optional, opt-in supervised light sparring. Full equipment. Progression required. ~60 min.

Start with LITTLE ROOSTERS (or ROOSTERS in PoCo if your kid is 9-11).
