what happens after you book

We don't disappear after the booking confirmation. Here's the actual sequence.

1. BOOKING CONFIRMED

instantly

You'll get a WellnessLiving confirmation in your email. That's your receipt and your class booking proof.

2. WHAT-TO-EXPECT EMAIL

same day

You'll get a detailed email walking through what your first class looks like, what to bring, what to wear, and what time to arrive. Same email also includes a photo of the gym entrance so you know what you're looking for.

3. A TEXT FROM US

asap

A member of our front-of-house team will text you to confirm your booking and answer any quick questions. This isn't an automated reply — it's a real person.

4. DAY-BEFORE REMINDER

24 hour before class

Quick text and email reminder with the class time, address, and parking info. Easy to reply if anything changed.

5. SHOW UP

Arrive 15 minutes early. Tell the front desk it's your first day. We'll take it from there.

WHAT TO EXPECT YOUR FIRST CLASS

Once you've booked, here's what your first class actually looks like.

ARRIVE 10-15 MINUTES EARLY

Tell the front desk it's your first day. They'll have you fill out a quick waiver, set you up with rental gloves, and point you toward the class space.

WEAR THE RIGHT GEAR

Athletic clothing, indoor shoes, a water bottle. Hand wraps if you have them. We rent gloves and wraps if you don't.

THE CLASS ITSELF

60 minutes. Structured: warm-up → technique block → drills/padwork → conditioning → cool-down. Coaches will check in on first-timers throughout.

STAY AFTER FOR QUESTIONS

Coaches and front-of-house staff stick around 10-15 minutes after class. Ask anything — technique, programs, next steps, whatever.

The first class is always the hardest. The second is when boxing starts to make sense.

WHAT FIRST-TIMERS SAY

Three real members talking about what their first weeks at QB felt like.

Really great environment especially for beginners. There's a lot your body isn't used to starting out, this place has really supportive coaches and it's an encouraging space.

This place is fantastic. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and good-humored. All skill levels are welcome, and the coaches focus on good formand solid fundamentals rather than just letting you wail on a bag however you want for a fee."

QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BOOK

The questions we hear most from people picking their intro

Which intro is right for me?

Adults & teens 12+ start with the 2-week unlimited group class intro ($59). Train 5x a week if you want.

Kids 5-11 start with the 2-week Little Roosters intro ($49). 2x per week, fully non-contact.

Personal Training (any age) is for people who want 1:1 coaching ($249 for 3 sessions). Adults who want accelerated progress, kids who'd benefit from individual attention.

Do I need any boxing experience to start

No. Most QB members started knowing nothing. Beginner-friendly classes run throughout the week. Coaches teach the fundamentals from day one.

Will I have to spar

No — never required. Group classes are non-contact (bag work, pad work, technique, conditioning). Sparring exists as a separate opt-in class that you only attend when you've progressed and decided you want it.

Where will I train

You'll select your location (East Vancouver or Port Coquitlam) when you book. Trial members can train at either location.

is there parking at both locations

Yes both our locations have a dedicated parking lot for your convenience.

How often can I attend during the intro?

2-Week Adult & Teen Trial: as often as the schedule allows (7x a week is possible)
2-Week Kids Trial: 2 classes per week, by program design
PT 3-Session Intro: 3 sessions over the intro period, scheduled with your coach

What if I miss days during the trial

The trial period runs for 14 calendar days from your first class regardless. If you miss days, the trial doesn't extend — but that's also okay. Most members don't attend every day even when they're consistent. Use the trial how you really would in every day life!

What happens after the intro ends

Most members continue with a membership. Pricing starts at $99/mo for kids and $149/mo for adults. Our front-of-house team will walk through options with you — no high-pressure sales.

still not sure

Three intros. Three different reasons people start. If you've read this and you're still not sure which one fits, we want to help you pick — not lock you into the wrong one.
