Weekly one-on-one session for members with a coach. This is the time to check-in and get a second opinion on what could be tweaked, what to work on for the coming week, and more. An 'Intensive' typically involves hand pads, bag work and/or technical drills with the coach. Highly recommend taking advantage of this special programming during the current circumstances.

Learn how to punch, defend, and move properly. We break down the biomechanics of each movement in boxing to ensure you're maximizing it. It's about drilling and forming the best possible habits to build or enforce your boxing skills.

Never boxed before? This is the class for you.
Boxed before? Really polish the fundamentals and get a solid workout in.

Put it all together! This is the class where we visualize an opponent with the combinations from Mechanics but now you're reading and reacting. Each combination and movement has intention. You learn why we're throwing this at this moment, what your opponent would be doing, how do we respond to it, and more.

Understanding of concepts in Mechanics

Apply the concepts from Foundation for specific opponents, styles and strategies! For those who have a good boxing foundation, come learn high level fight strategies, drill fight situations, and develop and hone your style. Similar to the the training we do in sparring cohorts without contact.

Understanding of concepts in Foundation

Get tested on the skills you've been developing in class. Held in small groups, the assessment is an opportunity to know exactly what you need to work on and be able to see exactly how you're progressing.

You'll be taken through specific rounds and combinations to assess your understanding of the concepts from 'Mechanics' and 'Foundation'.

Score high? You're ready to join us in 'Applied' classes and learn styles and strategies.

Interested in sparring or competing? All members who want to engage in full contact must first attend a 'Try Out'.

During 'Try Out', we will be testing to see if you understand how to use your jab, if you're comfortable in the exchange, if you can stop the action and how successful you can be fighting your fight. You will be partnered up and put through situational drills with light contact.

Not quite there? You may be invited to join 'Intro to Sparring' to get comfortable with contact and the exchange.

Score high? You're ready to join us in 'Sparring Cohort' and be in full-contact open sparring.

I don't have any experience, is that okay?

Yes! Many classes we offer are for all levels, including beginners. If you've never boxed before and are attending a group class, please come 5-10 minutes early and reach out to the coach on staff so that they can give you a crash course on stance and punches. Don't be shy, our coaches and members love to share the love of the sport! 

what equipment do i need?

Each class description lists the specific equipment you'll need but generally boxing workouts require athletic shoes, hand wraps (at least 180cm long), gloves, and a jump rope.
